GOVERNMENT MEDICAL COLLEGE, Sundargarh takes pride in its state of art Central Library. Central Library which acts as a knowledge hub for the academic activities of our institution with a mission to provide knowledge to the user community. It is well equipped with National & international journals, course and reference books as well as has e- library with 25 computers and nodes.

The Central Library provides excellent library facilities for all the students and faculty members, such as sufficient books & Journals as per NMC Requirement, proper seating and reading facility, proper classification and arrangement of books, an attractive fully air-conditioned modern Library building with high-speed wi-fi connectivity and Web browser facilities.

Open Access System is followed. In addition to the well-stocked Central Library. Each department has its Library to facilitate easy access to the Faculty, Students and Research Scholars.

ABOUT LIBRARY

1.Book stocking section has the collection of Sufficient text and reference books as prescribed in the syllabus and also relevant books.

2.In the Periodical Section, peer reviewed National & International Journals are available and kept in printed form.

4.The Circulation Section is fully computerized service (Issue, Return and Renewal of library documents)

5.Back issue of journal are bounded every year and kept in Back Volume Section for reference purpose. Back volumes can also be borrowed by the users.

6. Web Online Books, Journals, Back volumes and project reports.

7.Reprography and printing facilities are available to the users.

8.Sufficient numbers (25) of systems are available in the e-Library section with an Internet access facility to access the e-resources. Users can access it for educational, research and development purposes.

The Library is kept open throughout the year except Government Holidays.
